Special Assignment looks at the re-opening of the Ahmed Timol inquest. On the 46 anniversary of his death, the court has finally pronounced that his death was not a result of suicide, but murder. His family has been persistent in fighting for the second inquest into his death opened, following the first one in 1972, which found that no one was to blame for his death. Many other families who are still looking for justice for their murdered family members now have hope that someday the courts will also pronounce that their beloved did not commit suicide but died as martyrs who fought till the end.
