The Legal team of Joao Rodrigues is set to submit a complete set of appeal documentation before the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) in Bloemfontein before 27 April 2020. This relates to the appeal against the refusal of the High Court, Gauteng Local Division, Johannesburg to grant Rodrigues a permanent stay of prosecution from the charges he faces for his role in the murder of anti-apartheid activist Ahmed Timol on 27 October 1971.
The applicant must submit heads of arguments within 6 weeks thereafter , the respondents (NDPP; Min Of DOJ&CD; Min of Police and Imtiaz Cajee) to file theirs within a month after the applicant files.
