Anti-apartheid activist Reverend Frank Chikane has concluded his testimony at the Aggett inquest that’s being heard in the High Court in Johannesburg. He’s told the hearing about the last time he saw Dr Neil Aggett, who was found hanging in his cell at the then John Vorster Square Police Station on 5 February 1982. His family disputes the apartheid security branch’s claim that he committed suicide. Chikane says Dr Aggett struggled to walk the last time he saw him through a hole in his own cell.
