Former security police sergeant Joao Anastacio “Jan” Roderiques, 80, appearing at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 30th July 2018. Roderiques is accused of being involved in the murder of Ahmed Timol on 27 October 1971 at John Vorster Square Police Station (now known as Johannesburg Central Police Station).
