JOHANNESBURG – The family of anti-apartheid activist, Ahmed Timol says the state is dragging its feet.

In 2017, the inquest into Timol’s death was reopened.

It found he was murdered and did not commit suicide. However, none of the officers involved have been charged.

Timol’s nephew, Imtiaz Cajee said they are putting pressure on the state to probe information relating to eight more atrocities allegedly perpetrated by apartheid-era police.
